Great questions in the Q and A! We will answer the ones we can right away and will save others until the end so Evergreen has the opportunity to answer. Some might also be answered through the course of the presentation

Nice job Danny :)
Evergreen, you are doing a tremendous job. Just to give a time check. We have about a half hour. 20 minutes and then 10 for Q and A. Don’t rush, looking at the slides, we should be fine :). Again, great work!
Nice job Mandy :)
Agreed. Beautiful Job Mandy
Regarding your question: Do you consider English Learners in your model of inclusion or is it only for sped?We will also be doing co-taught ELL/English classes next year, though they are not included necessarily in the SPED model.
Nice job Andrea :)
It has varied over the last couple years. Currently we pair English and Math, but moving forward we will be pairing 9th grade English, Environmental Science, and AP Human Geography.
We want to make sure all students see themselves as able to be successful in all classes, including AP classes. These 3 courses also allow for a great deal of cross content units.
It sounds like the gate way block is basically an interdisciplinary team who teach the same set of assigned students. How do you ensure that this grouping of students doesn’t become a form tracking?
Time check. About 10 minutes team to get to Q and A. Really nice job.
The idea is that we work to help these kids go from a "yellow zone" kid to a "green zone" kid. We try to provide the support for their executive functioning skills AND their academic skills so that they can move further along the dependent->independent learner so they need fewer supports year to year. As for tracking, kids are free to choose the classes they want. The block includes regular classes as well as an AP class. We want kids to see themselves as able to be successful in any class no matter the level or rigor.
You guys are doing a great job answering questions as they are coming in - thank you!
Have you seen an increase in enrollment of students with disabilities in CTE classes?
teamwork and tryst
Gateway Block, All students are GenEd, co-teahcing, SpEd as strategists
Generally, yes. When we look at our course enrollment proportionality data, we tend to see a higher proportion of students with special needs enrolled in CTE compared to the proportion of special education students enrolled in the school as a whole.
Excellent job, everyone!!!
Culture of shared ownership which includes the student, family, educators, admin... everyone...
I feel the first step needs to set up a good PBIS system.
