TeleBehavioral Health 2025 Training Series is a free twelve-part webinar series open to anyone providing services to individuals who live with mental health and substance use issues. This Zoom-based series takes place the third Friday of each month, January through December 2025, from 11 am – 12 pm (PT). You are invited to attend all webinars, but you will need to register for each webinar separately.
Overview:
Dr. Erickson will speak about using TeleBH interventions to manage patients living with TBI, autism and other neurodiversity. This talk will include a review of the professional literature and evidence base, and will address limitations and opportunities of this model.
Jen Erickson, DO
Biography:
Dr. Erickson is a board-certified psychiatrist, consultation liaison psychiatrist, and neuropsychiatrist. She developed an interest in telehealth as part of several projects that included working with, through and around pre-pandemic rules/regulations. She is the director of the TBI- Behavioral Health ECHO program.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Compare and contrast using TeleBH for neurodiverse and non-neurodiverse patients
2. List two modifications you may need for your tele-session when working with neurodiverse patients
3. List two opportunities in using TeleBH with this patient population
